Congratulations to the Glamorgan Ladies who secured a place in the Welsh Savegar Cup Final with a resounding 6 rink win over Carmarthenshire.
Good luck to you all in Llandod on August 17th when you play Ceredigion, the whole of the County will be rooting for you to become champions again! 🍀
Congratulations go out to Olivia Jackson, Libby Harris, Lauren Gowen and Tegan Rees on their selection to play for Welsh Ladies Under 25 and to Megan Jones as non travelling reserve. It's a great achievement to be selected for your country and know you'll all be amazing in Ayr in September. Our county is so lucky to have such talented young players!
Well done ladies 👏👏
Huge congratulations to Lauren and Tracy Gowen on their British Ladies Pairs GOLD MEDAL. The Glamorgan girls fought off the strong opposition from England of Katherine Hawes-Watts and Lorraine Kuhler. We look forward to you showing off your medals at our next Savegar game! 🏅
Also fantastic silver medal success goes to Lauren Gowen and Lowri Powell in the Under 25's Pairs sadly losing to England's Lily-Mae Adams and Emily Kernick, brilliant achievement once again girls!
The county as well as all of Wales are incredibly proud of you all!
Well done to all of our Welsh representatives who played in both British Championships and the International Series. 👏
Special congratulations go to Sue Davies from Cardiff BC who once again fought off strong opposition to retain her 2 Wood Title. Runner up Eirlys Davies from Bridgend Municipal BC should also take a bow as both players entertained the Rhiwbina crowd to a thrilling final match. Good Luck to Sue who now goes on to the National Finals at Llandod in August where she'll challenge the other 2 Wood County Champions for the Welsh Title.
Well done also to Semi Finalists Heather Stratham from Penylan and Deb Taylor from Bridgend Municipal and especially big thanks to Rhiwbina Ladies Bowls Club for successfully holding the event, providing refreshments and markers throughout the day. Not forgetting a big shout out to the Rhiwbina Green Maintenance Team, the Greens played really well! 👏👏
